| Judy Girua shares her journey and motivation of becoming a police woman. During her work she realised that when it came to sorcery accusations it was often women who were affected by violence. This motivated her to start a separate police unit for Family and Sexual violence that would be able to respond effectively to cases of violence and bring justice to survivors. Judy leads a team of policemen who support her initiative and work. She also works closely with Kafe Women’s Association in Goroka to ensure appropriate services are provided to survivors of sorcery accusation related violence. |
