Stori bilong Eriko Fufurefa

Eriko Fufurefa is the Director of Kafe Urban Settlers’ Women’s Association in Goroka, Eastern Highlands Province in Papua New Guinea. She shares her personal story of experiencing violence and how she found the motivation and passion to start an organisation for women and children. Eriko brought women together who were in similar situations and they each contributed to raising funds for the organisation. Her story is an example of how women groups can support each other and how an organisation such as Kafe Urban Settlers’ Women’s Association can provide support mechanisms for women and children in the Highlands of Papua New Guinea.
