| When someone in David Ine’s family died, families within his clan wanted to understand the cause of the death. David’s family hired a witch doctor (glassman) to confirm their suspicion that the other family had caused the death through the use of sorcery. Not long after David found out the medical reasons for the death. This called into question the authority of the witch doctor and made David think deeply about the impact witch doctors have. He describes how witch doctors are not held accountable for the damage they cause, which in his case incited violence and discord amongst his family members. David strongly discourages his clan members from believing witch doctors but to really find out what may have caused the death. |
